Don’t you just love the smell
of Christmas? Call me sentimental, but I
just love sitting around the tree, listening
to old-fashioned Christmas carols, sipping
on hot chocolate with scents like cinnamon,
spruce, and frankincense wafting through my
home.
In addition to making your house smell
divine, these festive essential oils
have a ton of added benefits including
helping to ease headaches, clear sinuses,
relax and de-stress and help you get a good
nights sleep (all of which are especially
helpful during the holiday season!)
You're going to flip for these calming
essential oils that smell exactly like
Christmas. If you could bottle up the
Christmas spirit, it would smell like Christmas
Joy, Spice,
Orange,
cinnamon
bark,
and spruce
come together in a warm, joyful blend.
Of course, Christmas just wouldn't be
Christmas without a little spice,
clove,
myrrh,
and cinnamon.
You can always create your own blends this
season with special Christmas scents. One
whiff of cool peppermint
summons visions of red-and-white-striped
candy canes and frost-covered fields.
The wintery, woodsy aroma of the Fir
essential oil will help recall the
reason for the season, and soft, sweet cedarwood
is an earthy complement to brighter aromas.
Just apply topically to your temples, neck,
and behind your ears for instant relaxation.

If
Sleeping Soundly Seems to Elude You
If
you’re not sleeping enough, or not
sleeping well,
many of the benefits of your healthy
lifestyle will be lost
|
Almost 70
million American adults have a sleep
disorder, the most common of which is
insomnia.
While most sleep problems are tied to
lifestyle choices such as spending too
much time indoors during daylight hours,
and/or excessive use of technology and
chronic exposure to electromagnetic
fields.
Men who sleep five hours or less per night
have twice the risk of having a major
cardiovascular event compared to men who
sleep at least seven to eight hours per
night.
Sleep
is essential not just for cementing
events into long-term memory, but
also for making sense of your life.
During sleep, your brain pulls
together and extracts meaning, while
discarding unimportant details. In
fact, sleep increases your ability to
gain insights that would otherwise
remain elusive by about 250 percent.
So, during sleep, part of your brain
is busy stabilizing, enhancing and
integrating new memories. It’s also
extracting rules, and the “gist” of
what’s happening in your life. Reduced
productivity at work and poor grades
in school are other associated side
effects of insufficient sleep.
Creativity is also diminished.

If you fall into any of these
categories there is help.
You could try any of the
suggestions we have here and they may help
you get better, and more sleep at night.
Essential oils have been used for
centuries to promote relaxation and mental
and physical wellness.
Lavender
supports healthy sleep. Lavender is
well-known for it’s relaxing and calming
effects on the body. The reason I love this
oil most is it’s safe to use on all
ages–babies through adults.
Frankincense
helps balance emotions, support healthy
sleep, calm your mind. Frankincense also
supports your body’s natural response to
healing.
Cedarwood
essential oil supports healthy function of
the pineal gland, which releases
melatonin…the body’s natural sleepy
hormones.
Ylang Ylang
flower has been used to cover the beds of
newlywed couples on their wedding night.
That’s because this powerful oil helps to
balance male and female energies, supports
focus and restores peace.
Marjoram
is extremely soothing and relaxes the
nerves.
Vetiver
is psychologically grounding, calming and
stabilizing.
Chamomile
is perfect for restlessness and anxious
feelings. I love using this oil because it’s
another one that is great for all ages.
KidCare Good
Night Baby Helps calm
down before bedtime. Good Night Baby helps
create a more relaxing and calm feeling so
your child can relax and get a good night’s
sleep. It works really well on adults, it's
just Kid Safe.
KidCare Peaceful
Slumber Helps
soothe the mind and emotions so there are no
more bad dreams or monsters. Helps promote a
good night’s rest.
Beautiful Gardens
is so restful and calming.
Euphoria
Essential oil blend really is Pleasurably
intoxicating
I will take 1-3 drops of essential oil and
blend it with 1 tsp of olive oil or coconut
oil. This is the dilution I use for kids
ages 1 and above. For myself and my husband,
I will take 1-3 drops of essential oil and
blend it with 1-3 drops of olive oil or
coconut oil.
Then I apply the essential oils to the back
of my neck, bottoms of feet or inside of the
wrists. Allow a few minutes for the
essential oils to absorb a bit. I will
usually take any leftover oil, rub it
between my hands, cup over my nose and
inhale. This is immediately relaxing.
Add oil to your
bath. This is a great way to get
the relaxation and sleep benefits of
aromatherapy while also taking advantage of
the sleep-promoting effects of a warm soak.
Put several drops of your favorite oil into
your bathwater, and schedule your soaking
time for 90 minutes to an hour before your
bedtime.

Now for preparing

yourself in one of the following
scenarios:

canoe on a calm lake with nothing but
blue sky above you
- You’re snuggled in a
black velvet hammock in a pitch-black
room
- Simply repeat “Don’t

Fighting A
Fever
You can try a number of things to make
yourself or your child more comfortable
during a fever:
|
Drink
plenty of fluids. Fever can cause
fluid loss and dehydration, so drink water,
juices or broth. For a child under age 1, use
an oral rehydration solution such as
Pedialyte. These solutions contain water and
salts proportioned to replenish fluids and
electrolytes. Pedialyte ice pops also are
available.
Rest. You need
rest to recover, and activity can raise your
body temperature.
Stay cool. Dress
in light clothing, keep the room temperature
cool and sleep with only a sheet or light
blanket.
Vitamins and minerals can help to boost your
immune system’s natural response, but
essential oils can also play a significant
role in improving your overall health. These
natural remedies can help keep your body at
its optimal performance level year-round

Humidity levels drop in late Fall,
early Winter.
Help For Dry, Parched, Flaky, and so thirsty
Skin
|
Humidity levels typically drop
in late fall and winter, leaving our skin
parched, flaky and sometimes even cracked. So
many lotions and moisturizers on the market
contain really harmful synthetic scents. I opt
for natural oils to keep my skin feeling
smooth and less damaged.
Patchouli
- regenerates new cells, improves dry cracked
skin
Lavender-
repairs dry cracked skin,
Jasmine-
calms irritation, promotes youthful skin, anti
inflammatory
Helichrysum
- heals and keeps skin young
