Quick Reference
guide for Emotions.
In Aromatherapy, use of
essential oils, may assist, sometimes greatly, with
particular emotional issues. Additionally, the
proper use of essential oils may enhance your
emotional outlook and provide support and help
balance your emotions during the day. The use of
essential oils for emotional well-being is what is
often first thought of when someone thinks of the
term "aromatherapy."
"The inhalation of certain essential oils has been
associated with the release of brain chemicals that
stimulate various emotions. For example, lavender
oil has the ability to evoke and increase the
release of serotonin, thus producing a calming
effect on the body."

also check out Dr. Peter Gail's books for
great reading and many recipes on
eating and other ways to use the "weeds".
Quote from his blog
....what the FIRST step is. The first step, quite
frankly, my friend Sam, is to get people started, and to
do that you teach them a few common plants that are
easily identified and abundant in their area, and
motivate them to begin using them regularly in their
diet. Once that has become a habit, you introduce them
to a few more. Somewhere along the way, they get excited
by their new discoveries, and that jump-starts them to
begin exploring on their own until, finally, their
facility with this new-found way of living begins to
develop.
So, my friend, you START with green vegetables, usually
the dark green, nutrient-dense invasive types like
dandelions, plantain, stinging nettle and lambsquarters.
This is not the "be all and end all" of "survival
training". But for many people, if that is all they
have, and the plants are abundant in their urban or
suburban surroundings, they CAN get enough nutrients to
keep going for extended periods of times if supplemented
by small quantities of less nutritious, but calorie
rich, domestic foods such as tubers and familiar nuts
and fruits. Knowing something is better than not knowing
anything.....

'How Fish Oil Unlocked My Autistic
Son'

A woman's
son was diagnosed as autistic when he was three,
plunging his parents into a four-year nightmare. He
had both a severe language disorder - unable to say
more than two words - and learning disabilities which
stopped him from communicating with the outside world.
It was a casual chat with another mother from her
son's school which led to a new approach. Fish oil
supplements.
She said "The fish oil
tablets seemed to wake him up and unlock something." His
speech went from a two-word level to seven-word
sentences and he's now even reading the Oxford school
series. It's the most natural thing in the world for a
child to show love for its mother. But she waited four
years for her son just to hug her and say, "I love you."

Household
Tips/Hints |
Great flake-free
hair - Crush 2 aspirin into a
handful or two of your shampoo
|
Sprinkle baking
soda onto oily stains like spaghetti or
pizza. It works as a pretreatment
and attacks grease by turning it into
soap. Then both stain and oil will wash
right out. It will also brighten and
deodorize your laundry and clothes when
adding 1/2 cup to your detergent. You can
use less bleach and your clothes will not have
that bleachy ordor.
